+C2FUe-LS presented at the World Hydrogen Energy Conference in Singapore

+C2FUe-LS participated in the 25th World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC 2026), held in Singapore from 22 to 26 June 2026. The event brought together researchers, industry representatives and other stakeholders to discuss developments across the hydrogen value chain.

Following the submission of a project abstract, our coordinator, Vanesa Gil, had the opportunity to present +C2FUe-LS and its main objectives to an international audience.

Funded by Horizon Europe, +C2FUe-LS explores the conversion of CO₂, green hydrogen and renewable electricity into alcohol-based fuels and high-value chemicals. Its approach combines cold plasma technology with advanced catalysts, with the aim of making the conversion process more efficient and selective.

A central feature of the proposed technology is its operation under mild conditions. Through this approach, the project seeks to reduce the energy required for conversion and contribute to the development of sustainable alternatives to fossil-based fuels.

The conference provided a relevant setting to introduce this research, connecting the production and use of green hydrogen with its potential role in renewable synthetic fuel production. Presenting +C2FUe-LS helped raise the project’s visibility and place its objectives within the wider international discussion on sustainable energy technologies.
