Discover the first +C2FUe-LS newsletter and learn more about the project’s objectives and its latest developments!
Six months into the project, I am proud and excited to reach out to you via this Newsletter, present our team and look ahead at the milestones that lie before us.
+C2FUe‑LS is a Horizon Europe–funded research initiative dedicated to developing a breakthrough technology for producing renewable synthetic fuels for transport. Our work focuses on converting CO₂ into essential compounds—including alcohol-based fuels and high-value chemicals—using advanced plasma processes that operate under mild conditions (below 100 °C and atmospheric pressure). This highly energy‑efficient approach aims to make sustainable fuel production both scalable and impactful.
Through these innovations, +C2FUe‑LS will contribute to the European Union’s ambition to transition towards a climate‑neutral, resource‑efficient economy. Recent EU-level developments underline that scaling up the production of renewable fuels for hard-to-electrify sectors – such as aviation and maritime transport – is more important than ever. This is precisely the challenge that +C2FUe-LS is addressing.
In this first edition of this Newsletter, discover the ambitions of the +C2FUe‑LS project, our kick‑off meeting in Spain, and our recent outreach activities.
I look forward to sharing more updates with you in the coming months. In the meantime, make sure to follow our progress on LinkedIn and via our website!
